How it works for MSPs

From onboarding to closure — four steps

Onboarding

An optional short call to understand your business — or skip it and use our get-started page instead. Either way, we set you up in the Smart Hands Portal and you're ready to raise Work Orders.

Raise Work Orders in the Portal

All Work Orders go through the Smart Hands Portal. Add scope and site details; we confirm and respond.

On-site, in your name or ours

Engineers attend as Smart Hands by default. If your end-client relationship needs a different posture, we'll attend under your branding.

Closure with documentation you can forward

Photo evidence, time logs, and a post-visit report you can pass straight to your client or paste into your PSA. Invoiced per job.

FAQs

Common questions from MSPs

Will you white-label, or do you always attend as Smart Hands?

Engineers attend as Smart Hands by default. If your end-client relationship needs a different posture, we'll attend under your branding — just let us know when you raise the Work Order.

What's the contract structure — per-job, retainer, or volume commitment?

Both. Pay-as-you-go is the default — you raise Work Orders when you need us and we invoice per job, no minimum commitment. For ongoing needs, we also offer retainer plans with a monthly allowance of services at preferential rates. Your account manager can help you find the right fit.

How do you handle confidentiality if our end-client doesn't know you exist?

NDAs signed as standard. We don't disclose client names, sites, or work scopes to third parties. Photo documentation stays in your portal — your end-client never sees it unless you forward it.

Can the same engineer attend repeat visits to the same client site?

Where possible, yes. Continuity matters for sites with quirks, and we'll prioritise sending the same engineer back for repeat work where scheduling allows.

How do you handle parts and materials?

Through Materials Orders in the Smart Hands Portal — entirely separate from Work Orders. You specify what you need, we source and supply it. Delivery direct to your client's site, or to Smart Hands for use in a future Work Order.

What happens if our remote engineer and your engineer disagree on the right fix?

We follow your engineer's direction — they own the relationship with the end-client and they know the environment. If our engineer spots a potential side-effect or a better route, we'll flag it so you can make an informed decision. Your call, but you'll have our input before you make it.
